Planning some paid DLC
1) That the DLC are controversial,
But the team seems to have in mind the ethical problem posed by this business model ...

3) That certain claims of the community as the release of certain hard-coded parameters (such as the space attributed to animations) are acquired and that the creation of tools or campaign editor are considered.

Most of these aspects seem to me personally encouraging for the future, while for other aspects we will need to be vigilant (by Helm!) .

I intend on getting it.  If what I read about it is true and they'll be encouraging and supportive of modders, I can see BG1 mods becoming much more popular.

I heard there will be an "exclusive" new NPC, a new sidequest (maybe together with a new location?) and more voice actors for the many unvoiced NPCs

Three new NPCs, each with a sidequest.  One of the new NPCs comes with some new areas, I think.  Also, there's what appears to be an unlinked arena battle that, I assume, uses an entirely different party.  I'm not really excited about the latter, but I think they made that in the hopes of drawing in the crowd that just likes to to do battles.

Over the original BG1 alone, yes. Over the a modded BGT install, no way in hell!
