As much as I like DSotSC I didn't think much of the custom spellbook icons. I re-drew most of them and, I think, they look good.
Spell icons are my thing if you need any done!

Long time not seen. ;D

I might be interested in doing some items and writing the appropriate descriptions. As I am also creating currently some items for my mods of IWD1 & 2, I could also port them to be used in BG1.

Problem is, I don't have BG:EE so I have no idea if that would work. ::)

BGEE uses the ToB version of the game engine. So anything goes when it comes to items. The one thing that you don't need to do any more with items is put down the Usable By:, Unusable By: part of the description. The game will automatically do this for you.

So in other words, you set the classes, alignments and races that can use a certain item and the game automatically includes those in dialog.tlk? Sounds like a nice feature. ;D
How does it look, though? It shows only the classes, races and alignments that can use it?

Being a beta tester I really can't comment on how they did it at the moment. But all you have to do is click on the race/alignments you want to use it and it will show up automatically in the game on who can't use it. Like this screenshot.
