As with most major changes with a forums database there will be problems or quirks with the software. If you are experiencing such a problem please post it here.

Modders lack permissions in some forums.

Fixed some permission problems on some of the boards. Members and modders could not see profiles, edit their profile, post, make topics, see poll on some of the boards. Must have been a problem during the software conversion. Anyone who is a member or above should be able to post, make topics, make polls, vote in polls in every board but the Frozen in Time area. If not let me know. I'm an admin so I have god like powers and can't see those type of things.

In case someone is having problems logging in, I have allowed guest posting in the Announcement  board only. They are only to reply to this topic.

Seeing that no one must be having problems and all the feedback I get is from spam bots, guest posting is disabled.

I've heard that people are getting these error messages from time to time:
Your session timed out while posting. Please try to re-submit your message.
Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.
and so on.

Ive had that problem as well and I'm the administrator here. Its a browser problem I suspect. What I did to correct this, I use Firefox, is:
Find the cookies for baldursgatemods and delete them all, close the browser and then restart the browser to make it work.
Probably the same on other web browsers.

At the moment until I find a good CAPTCHA, new registers are approved by me. Suspected spam bots will be deleted.
Some smilies are broken and so are members who uploaded their avatars. Members will have to reupload their avatars.

The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved.

Looks like another weekend thing. The attachments directory is writeable. Its set in the settings as well. Yep another weekend thing to get the bugs ironed out.

Now that things appear to be back to normal after the issues we had the past couple of months, I enabled registration of new members again. But I will still have to okay it. Spam bots are tricky creatures after all.
