I like the 80's music especially the heavy metal hair bands. But I usually don't listen to that stuff any more. Too many good memories back then that is best to forget.

What I listen to now is good old 80's hair bands, techno, operatic metal and goth that has a dance, techno sound to it.

As for myself, I too love the early Gothic music of the 80s, tracing through to the 90s, and
etc. Bands that I tap to gain the Muse as I write...in no particular order (and I'm leaving out
more than I can type in this short response--of course): The Cure (love the trilogy), Depeche
Mode (every CD), Gary Numan, Type O Negative (R.I.P Peter), the gals from Switchblade,
The Birthday Massacre, and of course Sisters of Mercy. I feel guilty for not praising them all,
but so many have already been tagged.

80s gothic rules, but there's been quite a bit of interesting gothic metal coming out of Scandinavia in the last decade or so - Leaves' Eyes etc.

I don't really listen to metal or goth any more. I would prefer that my children not hear it. Plus I don't need depressing music in my life any more.

I listen to a lot of baroque organ music (I play the organ).   If I don't listen to that, then older songs.   No rock, jazz, rap, or anything like that.
