IWD/IWD2 animation Importing into ToB by Mortis
« on: July 11, 2012, 06:25:30 AM »
Ive been playing about with IWD animations and here is a list of animations from IWD who fit DIRECTLY into BG2:ToB: and The Darkest Day ToB version....

IWD-Bam-name: Animation: Animate.ids-value:
MCYCxx.bam cyclops 0xE000 IC_CYCLOP
MHISxx.bam histachii 0xE040 IC_HISTACHII
MLICxx.bam lich 0xE060 IC_LICH
MTICxx.bam ice troll 0xE0A0 IC_ICE_TROLL
MTSNxx.bam snow troll 0xE0C0 IC_SNOW_TROLL
MUMBxx.bam umberhulk 0xE0D0 IC_UMBERHULK

MBFIxx.bam beetle (small) 0xE210 IC_BEETLE_FIRE

MWI2xx.bam whight (green) 0xEC10 IC_WHIGHT2
MWI3xx.bam whight (large) 0xEC20 IC_WHIGHT3
MZ02xx.bam zombie 0xEE00 IC_ZOMBIE
MZ03xx.bam zombie (blue) 0xEE10 IC_ZOMBIE2

To Make Animations work just copy the needed bam files from IWD into the overrides folder of ToB.. then add the lines above with the ids value (0xXXXX IC_XXXX) to the Animate.IDS file..

Then make creatures using the IDS values and presto they are in the game...

WARNING some of these animations may not have images for certain actions (ie some may not spell cast) so problems may occur if you try to do this....

Other than that they all work...

AND <<<<<<

WHEN REPLACEING THESE ANIMATIONS (OR THE SLOTS) YOU CAN USE ANIMATIONS WITH MORE FILES WITHOUT PROBLEMS... (dont know about more frames in each bam..)

ie... I have not imported the standard IWD wights.. i stuck in the skeletal wight with all the weapons instead by renaming all the files to the normal wights values.. and it works even thought the skeletal one has over 20 more bam files....
