Well, since in BG 1, you couldn't play with the same classes like in BG 2... Why couldn't someone make some sort of mod or patch, that could provide playng with the same classes and rules... It's just a proposal - if you are developping it, I'll be very, very happy...

Rules are hard coded into the game which is out of a modders capabilities.

Which is why some things cannot be done for games IWD2 where a ton of stuff is hard-coded.

WEIDU are making a 3-edition rules for BG2, so maybe they can make it for BG1

I have to agree with Melkor on this one. Both are fine as they are. I personally find V3 rules bulky and annoying.
