Polish translation
« on: July 06, 2010, 12:21:00 PM »
Hello,

At first I'd like to say that's a pleasure to meet your community at last, as mods there are usually quite interesting. Somewhere around a half year ago I've finished Polish translation of Yasraena, but I've never managed to check it out according to stylistic or even functional mistakes (as I've been working on my BA thesis, and hardly even played Baldur's Gate by the time). Eventually I've had it done by the last few days, and I'd like to include my translation into the next version of Yasraena (if that's possible). There can be obviously some errors, as I haven't played it through the whole BG, but I'm very doubtful about finding any, and if so I will upload eventual corrections for them.

Actually I have no access to the internet, and I'm writing from my friend's computer, which unfortunately means that I cannot upload my translation this day, but if you agree to include it, I'm going to check your reply by the end of the week, and I'll get the files.

P. S.

Am I wrong or there is some mistake in YSNETHR dialogue? When you check the line under a 9th entry you seem to get an answer from an entry 14, which gives you sth like:

Player: She is well, but she will not remain so for long if you do not give me Divalir's ring.

Nethrin: What? Why do you need Divalir's ring? Is Yasraena in danger?

While an entry 10 (which is the another option of the same dialogue) is bonded with an 11th one:

Player: Enough chit chat. Give me the ring and no one gets hurt!

Nethrin: What do you mean? Is she in danger?

The rest of the dialogue is OK as every possible answer leads to the same point, but shouldn't the lines of Nethrin go other way round? It seems to make a bit more sense to me (though I can be wrong ;) ).

Hey,

At last there is a final version of the translation. I've also included a dialogue file, where I found some single English line, though I don't know whether that's sth, which can (or should) be included? Thanks for your help, hopefully not the last one ;)
