THIS IS WHAT THE OLD MOD HAD, UNFORTUNATELY IT IS TOO BUGGY, Please Ignore it


Hi, I just recently messaged Red Carnelian for fun sake about a long lost mod I once sent to him called "Back to Baldurs Gate"

I had asked him back then to beta test it, and that he did... And surprisingly he had both version 8.8 and the 1.0 patch to it!
(That guy never cleans his harddrive I geuss) Haha

Anyway! Important Informtion:

Back To Baldurs Gate was supposed to be a enchanted version of DSOTSC, with much harder enemies and new encounters and more fun fun things...Now I realise they might have given too much XP, but that will be fixed. Now that I have it again, I will make it useable for you; the Gamers!

BTB v. 8.8 (Some of these features may not function proberly, and some have been fixed.)

Features:

45 or more harder creatures.
Some new enemies.
1 changed NPC.
All boots in the game, will make the wearer walk faster.
Fixed some items and spells.
About 20 new items.
About 18 new portraits.
3 New mage Spells 1 priest and 3 Cantrips.
New encounters in Peldvale near Larswood.
New enemies when attacked between areas.
New Encounters near the Temple of Illmater (near Beregost).
Changed 2 stores with new items(Thunder Hammer Smithy, High Hedge).
New Creatures near an estate in Beregost.(Worth the XP new items).





This enchantment pack gives some tougher enemies, in BG 1 (about 40 or More). When i mean tough, i mean REALLY tough!
it also gives some boots that will make charekters move faster, they are avaible in the Friendly arm Inn, Naskal Store, Candlekeep Inn and Feldepost Inn.
There is portraits from BG 2.

How To Install: You need to have IEEP, or IEES to use this mod, yuo can get these at www.Teambg.com. Extract the AIP file in a Folder or Desktop. Then run it and it should install itself.

Known Bugs:
In the start of this mod i had made dialog and new quest, but because they didnt support TBG files a had to delete them. Thats why there is many NPC that dont do anything. they were suppossed to be enemies so just kill them.
When Vitiare the Mage-Thief, attack you, the innocents in the gambling telt, will get aggresive. just take off the AL, and dont kill them.
You MUST have DSotSC installed first to use this mod.
Some of the stores in the game dont have a name, Sorry...
Bad English.

BTB v 1.0 Contains/fixes/adds

10 or more harder creatures.
Fixed items and spells.
New items.
Made price of scrolls smaller.
New spell effects from Icewind Dale.



This is a patch for BTB that will upgrade it to v. 1.0. Some errors have been found and changed, like typing,bams, and so on. It contains some spell effects from Icewind Dale, that i found better than the original form BG.
Here's a lists of new items:

Swords: 2
Armor: 2
Cloak: 1
Rings: 1
Bracers: 1
Belts: 2
Amulets: 1

I Hope an Admin will make a space for this small mod... Im am already testing it again, to find bugs and the like

Turn off hardware acceleration and BG1 is going to work like wonder. I have the same video card.

Where is the mod file? Is this a IAP/TBG packaged mod?

Yea unfortunately it is... I have no idea how to use the Weidu tool... And don't really know anywhere to upload it.. Maybe Rapidshare?


I beleive it needs to be re-testet, before it will be realeased.. Unfortunately I need to go to Berlin the next week, but after that (if I can get BG to work) I will test it fully...

I can't remember where Hardware acceleration can be turned off... But please enlighten me Reddrake :)

Once you have tested it and it comes out working fine, you can upload it here on the forums. Under Additional Options there is a file upload.

I can't find the CLUACOnsole command for "teleporting" to another map (ar2400) as an example..

I know that the there is a command that works in BG2, but I can't make it work in BG1.

Anyone knows?

Why don't you try creating a new script with the effects you want. Editing an exisitIng script may not show the effects if you are testing from a save game.

Yes. You have to recompile them after you save it.

Right now I have fixed 3 spells, and changed -- 71 -- enemies, to make them much more formidable fights, and with a lot of script editing, much more tactical battles will await you when I release my "mod"!

Its going fast now!

Shall We say a Release when it gets to a 100 changed creatures? ;)

Oh, and the Recompile that you are talking about, what do you mean with it? I have them saved right now with a baf and a bcs. Isen't that enough?

Well, they where too buggy for my taste...

They used to work with DSOTSC without any fuss, but when the made the better weiu version, afew things got messed up..

ALSO, I am waiting for the real v.1 to be released.. But If someone could make it weidu then it would be perfect!
