Introducing The Undying NPCs
« on: September 02, 2008, 06:52:40 AM »

Callisto T'sarran

Race: Sun Elf
Class: Fighter/Berserker
Alignment: Chaotic Evil

STR 17
DEX 18
CON 16
INT 15
WIS 11
CHA 12

Background

From a village called Sylla'cerra she was orphaned at an early age. A band of drow raiders and traitorous surface elves attacked her village and killed every adult and most of the children living there. She watched as her parents were brutally hacked to death and the village razed to the ground. She tried to defend her sister when one of the traitor surface elves lunged at her with a sword and instead cut Callisto across the face. For her noble efforts she was held down as the traitorous surface elf leader beheaded her sister before her very eyes.

With the very few survivors left, the drow and elf raiding party rounded  up the children, laid them down on the ground, then stacked the bloody bodies of the villagers on top of them for their sick amusement and left the children there until a caravan came to the village a few days later and rescued them. By this time most of the "survivors" were nothing more than raving lunatics.

Later on Callisto created an army to find all of those responsible for the Sylla'cerra massacre. They traveled throughout the Realms looking for all those responsible but she never found that surface elf leader, who above all others, wanted dead.

After a while her army deserted her after they got to know how insane and obsessed she really was. She would wipe out whole villages because they happen to have a member/members of the raiders make a brief stay there at an inn. She would follow leads based on trivial or non existent facts and act on them. One day she awoke and found her army had broken up and left her by herself.

She travels to Amn which is where the party finds her.

Character Histories, Background and Other Information

Callisto:

Some facts about her and the drow.

She, like most surface elves, do not like the drow especially since they raided her village and brought the death and destruction to everything she knew.

She will NOT get along with Viconia period. She will not even be in the group as long as Viconia is in it. Sorry but thats how it is. Hate is a very powerful emotion to conquer and she is not even close to being up to that challenge. Also Solaufein as well if that mod is installed. She will turn hostile on them if the pc is unwilling to boot them out of the party.

She will eventually meet the drow raiding party from her childhood. They will be in The Underdark. Nothing would please her more then give out revenge to them.

She will have banters objecting to being "transformed" into a drow by Adalon. She can be pursuaded though. She also will not go "hostile" in Ust Natha either. But she may have some choice words to say to some of the drow like Phaere.

Will not join/ and leave the party if the drow NPCs are in the group

Ninafer

Race: Sun Elf
Class: Fighter L7/Mage L8
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

STR 15
DEX 18
CON 12
INT 18
WIS 9
CHR 11

Background:

Ninafer or Nina as she likes her friends to call her, is a defender of the god Mystra and the Weave. She dislikes magic being used for evil and will battle those who use it that way. She does not shed much light on her past, but she's said a few things on it. She was an orphan at a very young age and has been raised by Therian someone she refers to as her father. He is not her real father or related to her, but it's a name she lovingly calls him by. He taught her how to master the sword and perform magic. Therian taught Nina that magic should be respected and never to be abused for one's own evil personal gain. She learned these lessons well and taken Mystra as her patron god.

Nina is a head strong, determined person that can lead her into trouble at times. She is very devout to Mystra and the Weave to the point of being fanatical. She is still young in elven years and has much to learn. One of the lessons she could learn is to enjoy what life has to offer and not be so duty bound.

She has ventured from her home in search of what life has to offer. She has heard much about the traveler from Candlekeep and looks forward to joining him/her in their quest to rescue Imoen and stop Irenicus.

Character Histories, Background and Other Information

Ninafer:

Past:
She was orphaned at a young age. Her parents and siblings were killed and she was adopted by a friend of the family. She had very few friends while she was growing up. She spent most of her time training in either the ways of magic or sword play.

Present:
While traveling with the main character, Nina will learn not to be so serious all the time. She will come to value friendship and being part of a "family".

Future:
Only time will tell.

Other things:

Her alignment Lawful Neutral:
Some people may say that she is more like a Lawful Good character because of her actions. I would say no. Since she is very protective about The Weave and her goddess Mystra, she would chastise both good and evil people. Evil people would use magic in evil ways more so then some one who is good. She would more then likely put the evil mage at the end of her sword and slap the hand of a good character though. If a good character kept abusing magic then they may be in for some trouble. She upholds the law and expects others to do so. This covers her Lawfulness, keeping things in line with the law and being neutral to a point. The evil one would die which brings up the next thing.

A religious zealot:
She is very protective of her god Mystra and the magic of The Weave. The slightest infraction would get her wrath set on you, especially evil mages.  I may not use this much in the mod but if I was to expand on it, you would not be able to have Edwin (evil self serving mage) in the party nor Viconia (Shar worshipper) either. She would not have a problem with Sarevok in the party because he is not an evil mage and does not worship a god that is considered an enemy to her church. But if he broke the law...

Personality
She is very duty bound and takes her role seriously when it comes to upholding the ways of Mystra and protecting the Weave from evil mages. She can be blunt and direct to people to the point where their feelings may be hurt by her holier than thou attitude. She laughs seldom and does not "let her hair down" as the saying goes. She has really never had any real good friends in her past, but that will change along with her outlook in life once she joins <CHARNAME> and travels with them for a while. Her coldness will start to melt away and she will open up to <CHARNAME>, Cernd (as a friend) and Anomen. If Anomen is not romancing <CHARNAME> then she will take an interest in him. In ToB their romance will  come to completion.  Wink

On Her Stats.

Low Charisma
Or maybe it's normal. She has lived a sheltered life with elves and being out in a city with ther races is new to her. She will act indifferently towards them.

Low Wisdom.
She is young and can be rash when her temper gets the better of her. Which is not the wisest of choices.

Strength and Dex
She is a fighter after who is skilled and quick with a sword or two.

Intelligence

She's a bookworm who's studied often as a young elf.

Shi'nayne Auvryndar

Race: Elf (Drow)
Class: Wizard
Alignment: Neutral Good

STR 14
DEX 17
CON 12
INT 18
WIS 9
CHA 14

Background:

When asked about her past SHI'NAYNE says that her mother, Sharillae, died when she was a young child after they were fleeing from a drow hunting party. Shi'nayne was raised by King Hreidmar Stonecrusher and his wife Brynhildr as if she was one of their own. They did this out of honor, Shi'nayne's mother saved their oldest son Magnus from a drow hunting party that was pursuing her and he happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Sharillae had jumped on top of the young dwarf and took a poison tipped drow bolt in the back which proved to be fatal to her. Shi'nayne grew up in a loving home but she did have hardships, being a drow elf growing up in a dwarven city, step daughter of the king or not. One of the king's human friends, a wizard named Tarlach Velnaar, saw potential for magic in the young drow and took her in as an apprentice. Shi'nayne has become a powerful war wizard and has defended her adopted home many times. Over time she has become curious about adventuring and leaving the Stonecrusher Delve, but does not out of the sake of duty to the Stonecrusher Clan. She may be convinced to join your group if you prove yourselves worthy and get the permission from the king.

Race: Half elf
Class: Thief/Assassin
Alignment: Neutral Evil

STR 15
DEX 18
CON 13
INT 16
WIS 10
CHA 08

Background:

Alexia Kalila Johara Al-Mustafa or X as she has been known to go by, claims she's from the city of Calimport from the country of Calimshan. Soft spoken and quiet, she tends to keep to herself and says little to anyone. She is a well trained assassin who can get to anyone no matter how many traps or people are protecting her target. She enjoys the challenges present to get to her target. She's not a braggart but she does excel at being the best she is. Her calling card is leaving a note with an X on the body of her target and all witnesses are generally killed. Alexia does not belong to any guilds, she works alone and takes on contracts to her liking. One such contract is killing Irenicus, which is why she wishes to join your group.
