About compatibility
« on: August 20, 2007, 07:48:14 AM »
Hello to everyone. I have this question. I would like to start playing BG1+Expansion+BG2+Expansion, starting with a character that i want to keep from the start to the finish and whatever else i may gather in various parts of the games. Is D.O.T.S.C. compatible? I mean, will i be able to import my team for BG2? Also, i have found a mode for an alternate ending for Throne of Bhaal in which the player is offered with the chance to take in his party Irenicus and his sister, among other things. There is also a small mod with a shop in the town of the monk child of Bhaal and member of the council which seeks to kill the player, in which a +6 sword with the power to neutralize time stop for the character that carries it. Is it possible to play the whole game from BG1 to Throne of Bhaal with the three mods i mentioned above (D.O.T.S.C./alternate ending/the shop with the sword)? ???

As far as I know, this only works for vanilla BG.
Per me si va nella citta dolente.
Per me si va nell eterno dolore.
Per me si va tra la perduta gente...
Lasciate ogni speranza perduta che'entrate!

BG without the conversion type mods, those being TuTu and The Big Picture.

There is a TuTu version of the mod in the works though.
My mods:
Dark Horizons
The Undying
Nikita
IWD2 store

Co-contributor:
Dark Side of the Sword Coast BG1 Weidu
Aurils Bane
Encounters
Saerileth
Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition beta tester
Baldur's Gate 2 - Enhanced Edition beta tester
Icewind Dale - Enhanced Edition beta tester

I don't know about TuTu, but DTOTSC isn't part of The Big Picture (at least as far as Big Picture was advertised in the magazine PcMaster in Greece), nor the shop in the town of Balthazar or the alternate ending. They are mods i found from the site: http://www.sorcerers.net/

Let me see if i understand the mod-world. There are TuTu mods, Weimer mods and then there is DTOTSC which is something else. So I cannot put the other two mods i referred to together with DTOTSC, at least not until its TuTu version is released. Am i correct?

You can find the version of DSotSC your after at SHS try this link: DSotSC.
Little is known of Nirel, a powerful cleric who could resist the spells of his enemies. However, history does record that he was a vile zealot whose hatred for followers of other faiths knew almost no bounds. It is said that he kept the heads of his victims as trophies and was personally responsible for defiling over one hundred temples of other faiths. In the centuries since, his mace has appeared in the hands of evil clerics across the Realms.

I visited the site and found mods only for BG2 in the download section. Are you implying that this site has a version of DTOTSC that i can mix with the other two mods in BG2? I got my current version of DSOTSC from here and it is a WEIDU.

DSotSC MOD here is for BG1 only. The MOD Closest to what you want is BGT at SHS. It isn't just a BG2 MOD buts runs BG1 in the BG2 engine so that you can play BG1 and BG2 seemlessly. That MOD is better suited for what you need.
