Fast forward a year and now check for mods out there.  There are some pretty good ones.  (I work for a Persistant World so I've seen a fair amount).   Among the best I like are the ACME armor packs that put realistic looking armor and clothing into the game.   I always thought that NWN2 items and armor for the most part look like junk, so mods that make it better are certainly welcome!

I'm looking more for modules. Modules that allow me to play for a very long time. Like some of the modules for NWN1 (Blackguard, Tales of Artera or an Ancient Heart for example). Especially with the now released Storm of Zehir add-on. I look forward to playing a large module with a custom made party.

I can't tell you much about modules, but I have heard of a few.  Someone told me the Pools of Radiance was a pretty good module for NWN2 but I never played it (never palyed any single-player ones).   One that really sounds interesting is a complete remake of Baldur's Gate in the NWN2 engine.   Apparently it transfers the quests, dialogue, characters and everything to NWN2.   I think once that is done I'd want to check it out for sure.  Last I heard they had the prologue completed (that was last year though).   

Currently I do multi-player on a server based around the Sword Coast (Baldur's Gate to the Cloudpeaks).

I know about modules that are in the works, I visit the vault on a regular basis. There is a remake of IWD1 with prologue and chapter 1 done. But as far as finished modules go, none of them sparked my interest yet. I tried Asphyxia and is good at start, but gets boring after a while. There is also a remastered A Hunt through the Dark, but it is not yet finished. I am going to try it when it is done.

Is anyone planning on trying out the BG1 NWN2 module?  There's supposed to be a release of it this year in the fall, I believe.

Also, some custom models have been made for it, such as gibberlings, doppelgangers, and an ankheg.  The ankheg hasn't been animated yet, to my knowledge, but I talk to the guy who does a lot of modeling (including mounts) for NWN2 so maybe I could get a time table on it.

...but it sounds so funny coming from someone who's modding the Infinity Engine.   :D

It would be far better if it was open world and using the Skyrim engine. Even more awesome would be Icewind Dale on the Skyrim engine.

Perhaps.  But they started the project six years ago, I believe.  Skyrim wasn't out back then.   

Also, the Icewind Dale remake for NWN2 has been complete for some time now.
