I'm on the way to Spellhold, with Jaheira, Minsc, Korgan, Viconia and Yoshimo. I've killed Kuroisan, the Gnome Illusionist, and Mae'var, giving me loot well equipped for anything I might encounter (besides nasty Pit Fiends). A Skald with high strength is quite skilled when it comes to dual-wielding, I must say, although Kuroisan gave him a bit of trouble, running around like it was Grand Marathon of Amn. Don't get me started on the Lich in the docks. After losing Kindrek to her, I gave up and decided to come back later to restore my dignity. Jaheira and Korgan serves as my fast-killers, while Minsc is the bodyguard of my NPC. Yoshimo stays as an archer, and Viconia as a caster of flamestrike. And oh, the arguments, the endless bickering between Korgan and just about everyone else but the PC..  ;D

Well my little group has just slain Guthma and freed Targos from the threat of the Horde.
Now they're off for a little ride in Oswald's airship *gulp*

 Current party levels...

PC: Jhaerlnya Jhalavar -  Silverstar of Selune (5) Bard (1)
NPC: Sir Wind Nord  - Fighter (4) Paladin of Helm (2)
 NPC: Hilurdy - Fighter (4) Barbarian (2)
NPC: Prachi - Monk of the Old Order (6)
NPC: Nikosh Bracegirdle - Rogue (4) Wizard (2)
 NPC: Jaemal - Sorcerer (6)

Several characters have enough exp to level up further but I've decided to level squat until the end of Chapter 2.

Tashia came through once again in the battle with Draconis. After using Cloudkill, Fireball and Cloud of Pestilence, the latter from Jaheira, to get Draconis to change into his dragon form, Tashia summoned Peanelian and then cast Time Stop. With Peanelian  charging forward for the initial distraction, Tashia cast Comet and then Imprisonment. Once Time Stop wore off, Comet did 50 HP of damage and then Imprisonment kicked in because Draconis vanished leaving only his head behind.

This thread isn't about describing your battle tactic ::)
Evil hidden everywhere
Evil has a chilling stare
Null and void of any care
Is where the answer lies
It does no good to beg or cry
It does no good to question why
It does no good it never dies
Evil never dies

I've just started a new BG2 game and am about to head off to Nalia's castle.

The party:

Beren - human fighter (PC)
Minsc
Anomen
Aerie (romance)
Kelsey (so Immy can get some ToB action)
rotating (currently Nalia)/Imoen

This thread is giving me a desire to reinstall IWD2 and give it another go. I've tried several times, but my motivation keeps running out at the ice fortress. Maybe next time will be different...

I know exactly what you mean. It's the lack of NPC interaction that does it for me: I just can't get into it. Domi/Ashara's IWD2 NPC Project is changing that.

So do I, I have been looking for that game for a while now. With a little luck, I will have it soon.
Just praying for it to work, since my computer aren't the most reliable when it comes to games. But if BGII and NWN works..  :-\
