New - Male dwarf (pencil)
« on: January 09, 2006, 09:43:52 AM »
Went roleplaying, got killed, drew a dwarf portrait. As you do!

As you can plainly see, this is just a pencil sketch, but this is the first real dwarf I've ever drawn, ever, so be gentle...

Do dwarves even have pointy ears? In come pics they do, in others they have rugby-players ears. Wrinkles - v. hard to render properly. The sign on his helmet is the holy symbol of Moradin.

Skimpy elven armour much easier to design and think about than cumbersome dwarf armour, too.... Big noses are fun to draw, though! :D

Great job!
I grow tired of shouting battle cries when fighting this mage. Boo will finish his eyeballs once and for all, so he does not rise again! Evil, meet my sword! SWORD, MEET EVIL!!

Sometimes, people are said to have a Dragon inside. For Drake, it's true.

Truly amazing work, Elysia... though his ears are perhaps a bit too pointy for a dwarf :)

Well, if it is seen as a problem, why not make his ear partially ripped/cut away? 'Tis a common insury in the medievalish setting.

I was worried about his ear - after I finished drawing this, I wondered if it was too elvish... But I like the 'scarred' ear approach. Ahhh, the joys fo computers! Allows you to change pics after you've finished them... ;-)

:D Thanks!

It will make him more fierce too, and that is very dwarvish. Am looking forward to the update!  :)

Ohhhh, very nice! Dwarves are, by far, the coolest dudes in the realm. Can't beat a dwarf! I like this portrait alot.

I did notice his beard was a bit too small, even with the braids. It may just be me, but dwarves have big, poofy beards. Probably just me.
She has lived her life hunted and hated. Can you show Kari the compassion she deserves? The Kari the Kobold mod is now in Beta!

There is a very, very old mod, Krondor & Wolfie, I've been tinkering with as I learn coding which will probably never be released to the public as it's author has been missing  for the past year though I have code fix-up permission.

That picture is perfect for Kron, a Dwarven Priest of Torm.  If he had black beard/hair and tinted greenish armour since he wears Ankheg mail it would be perfect.  But, like I say, this mod will probably never be released.

One can still dream.  But your pencil drawing is pefect for Kron, beard length and all.

Eeeexcellent.... seeing as I'm probably the biggest dwarf-fan on the board since Magnus' departure, this pleases me greatly...
