What does your nick come from ? And, if it the name of a famous character/personality, why did you choose it ?

Well, mine is obvious where it comes from. And I took it for 3 reasons :

1. I like how it sounds.  :D

2. Feanor was a bad ass : the best warrior and craftman in all Arda, in my opinion (ainurs don't count).

3. He rebelled against the Valars : I hold a strong grudge against those bastards (not much better than Melkor, IMO) for destroying Numenor and I love Feanor for defying them.
Real sucks, Barca rules !

I like Real only when it plays in Segunda Division !

Quite a funny story. While I was a teenager I used to watch Allo, allo all the time. And I kept one word in my mind "undertaker". I liked the sound of it so much that I use it as my nick ever since. And no, it has nothing to do with Undertaker from WWF! (I'm not a wrestling fan)

Meneillos is from a Spanish word "meneo", that in English means "shake" (but more colloquial). The "-illos" termination is a plural diminutive. I chosed it because it is funny and sounds good. : D

I was bored with my usual cinnamon_spider screenname and Sakaki's my favourite character from Azumanga-daioh - she's tall and shy but the other girls think she's really amazing; she also loves cats and anything cute.

You may guess exactly once. :D

Because of my real name, which is Bert. When I was young, I've had to hear those Ernie jokes plenty of times ("Hey Bert, where's Ernie?", "Hey Bert, you've got a banana in your ear", etc.). So when the time came to choose a nickname, Ernie was an easy choice.

The 'Lord' bit was added when I accidentally blocked the confirmation e-mail from the first board I joined (TeamBG); I needed an add-on to the name (I wasn't going to look for another one), so I stole that from the nick of a friend of mine.

As you can notice, my nickname is from KotOR. :D
I just loved the role of 'Revan', so I took it from there. I took the 'shadow' part because you can say I'm the same thing Revan was, except the fact that I'm not evil: (almost) nobody likes me. So, I'm a mere shadow. :D

Cheers! :D

It was the name of one of my favourite characters that I created for Icewind Dale II.

He was a descendent of the Uthgardt barbarians, and oddly enough I think he used Cernd's portrait and voice set.

He was a druid/bard, I can't remember his exact levels.

He wasn't at all powergamey, his kill counter was incredibly low but he was tremendous fun to play.

CoM looked like a fun place to hang so I used his name.

Nashana Aylomein it's the name of my female monk character from NWN. I really liked the name so I decided to use it as a nick name.

Princeps = a Latin term for a high-ranking member of the aristocracy. It was commonly used in the Early Middle Ages, for example in the combination reges et principes (kings and lords). It is the origin of our word 'prince'. I have written a little thing about Early Medieval kingship, so that is where I have it from.

Mine is taken from the name of the evil necromancer boss at the end of Realms of Impossibility, and old but fun action adventure game from the '80s made by Electronic Arts. I've used it since first logging on to Black Isles old forums, though it's certainly not the only nickname I use or have used. I'm not really part of the online community, so identity doesn't mean much to me.

My nickname originally came from the fact that I am fascinated with Death. :D  Plus, it can considered both a contradiction and a repetition: a ghost can't be literally dead because it already is!
At the time I created it though, I also used another, called Cyber Undead, for obvious reasons ;) . Then, when I was watching an episode of Cow & Chicken, the Pantless Guy's name was Dead Ghost (allusion to Space Ghost), so I made my choice: it's also a way of honoring one of my fav's cartoon characther. :D

Heh, I chose mine because I’m a fan of Fantasy books, I have a very strong fantasy myself (almost too strong actually, especially in the evening  :(  ) and because ending a personal message with ‘Your Fantasy’ is a lot of fun. :D
I am.

Perhaps I should not, but that is not for you to decide.

'Scáthach' is a word from the Irish language and means 'shadow'.
In Celtic mythology it was also the name of a famous female warrior, the one who taught the art of warfare to the Irish hero Cúchulainn.

I chose the name because I like both its literal meaning and the woman who bore this name - I find it fascinating that in Celtic mythology women were in most respects practically equal to men.
