Yes, I had the Plate of Balduran when happened (did not want to trick Saerileth, but that is the best armor in SOA).

i think i'll just use the ring of Human Influence. it ups charisma to 19 if i don't remember wrong and it's easy to get.

Wait... Does having a charisma boosting item/weapon effect the romance? My pc has a charisma of 18 and is using blade of rose which boosts charisma by 2... Will this create any problems in the long run?

There is no problem using Charisma-raising items when your PC's base Charisma is 16 or higher. Be careful when using Charisma-lowering items, and be very careful when your PC has a base Charisma lower than 16 and you're using an item to boost it to 16 or higher.
