Saerileth Romance / Sympathy for Edorem (Saeri SPOILER)

Considering the way he took every opportunity to cast more or less veiled insults and suspicious looks towards my paladin (Can I help it if he looked better than Eodrem? He was born that way) not to mention implying that Saerileth was way too good for him and last but not least tearing my character's armor of in the middle of a crowded street (Luckily this isn't NWN) I can't say I have much sympathy for him. Understanding maybe. But not sympathy.

Saerileth Romance / Party

As I recall Nalia has something around 45% on open locks and find traps which is way too low for all but the simplest locks in the game (Unless you want to be klicking around forever you need 100 or more). So unless you want to carry around an insane amount of potions of master thievery and potions of perception I would suggest taking Jan into the party. He's the only permanent BW NPC who's thieving skills actually improve during the game and he is also one of the best mages. Jan annoys most of the other NPCs but never to the point where there is an actual conflict and he actually seems to get quite well along with Saeri. You might also want to consider substituting Minsc with Keldorn as the innate True Seeing and Dispel Magic abilities are a great help, especially in the later stages of the game. If you want your own paladin to have Carsomyr then you can just give him Lilarcor or a halberd (provided that you give him proficiency in them first).

Oh...I've played BTL! what I'd like to say, actually I've just downloaded it. Whew, been away for ages, does anyone even remember me anymore?    Anyhow, as I said I've downloaded it and can't wait to play.  :D

Okay, hope this isn't  :spammer

Be back when I've actually played.

Yet another one of, the ToB portion of the mod is still in progress. What updates have been released are simply fixes for the SoA part.

Saerileth Romance / Whatever happened to Edorem, he who loved Saerileth?

Maybe it's because loosing Saerileth to <CHARNAME> taught him a badly needed lesson in humility...

How true !  :D  On the other hand, he still has a major fault : he did not free himself of his former misconceptions. In the mod, he treated Charname badly also because he was a Bhaalspawn and his wretched heritage. Now, because Arlluvia had the perfect profile of "the innocent and beautiful maid in distress", he failed to see the lie which she was. The fact that he does not see beyond appearances cost him his very life.

True, he was a prejudiced twerp to the end. But that arrogance is so deeply rooted into Eodrem's personality that he wouldn't really be himself without it. I think learning that he wasn't the bright and shining center of the universe was about as much as Eodrem could handle in one go. Man...I'm being really mean to the deceased fictional chap.

Man...I almost feel sorry for the twerp now.

This is a beautiful piece of writing, I wish I had the proper education to give a real proffessional review of it but since I don't I'll settle for repeating myself: This is a beautiful piece of writing.  :D

I think the suspense was maintained very well because it kept me reading nonstop until the end. Although I did see ol' Eodrem's end coming a bit sooner than he did.

Anyway, it was a good read.

Well...I've been in psychotherapy for a year or three...or was that four?
Meh, anyway. I got clean papers from there so I say 'maybe'. Although I would have voted for 'Pie' if that was an option. The sane always have less fun...

Noobers Dwarven Hammer / What's Your Inner Dragon?
« on: August 06, 2005, 03:16:42 AM »

and your inner dragon is a ....
Rune Dragon

In the war between good and evil, Rune Dragons take the side of the noble and good....
When it comes to the powers of Chaos vs. those of Law and Order, your inner dragon tends to do things by the book. ...
As far as magical tendancies, a Rune Dragon's nature does not lend itself well to the ways of Magic....
During combat situations, whether by spells or by claw, your inner dragon will do whatever it takes to get the job done....
Rune Dragons are burdened with a specific task upon the world. They retain their original knowledge and experience, but something about their making compels them into undying loyalty.'
Although it does not cast spells itself, the Rune Dragon is Very magical in nature. In fact, it is a being made almost purely from the stuff of magic itself.'
The Rune Dragon appears dull grey in color, with each of it's scales containing a magical glyph of power. These glyphs contain the mighty spells involved in the dragons making. To undo these glyphs is to undo the dragon itself. It should also be noted that when the Rune Dragon has completed the task set for it, it's soul is freed from it's body.

Hooray for duty...

Oo! Questions! My turn!

Is the hypothetical glass half-full or half-empty?

What would be your first reaction if you met an Undead Hunter?

Or a Druid?

Does a beheaded man show up on a headcount report?

Would you say you're suspicious by nature?

What about jealous?

How wold you react if you found out that someone you loved listened to little voices in her head?

Do you have little voices in your head? If you do, do you listen to them?

What do you think of people worshiping gods and begging for their aid rather than sorting out their lives for themselves?

Is it a conspiracy?

If you and (Charname) were ambushed by a ferocious red dragon, what would you do?

Can you play any instruments? If not, would you want to learn?

If it takes two men four hours to dig a hole, how long does it take for one man to dig half a hole?

What happens if an unstopable force meets an unmovable object?

Have you brushed your teeth?

Have you ever had an imaginary friend? If so, what did he/she look like? If not, would you want to have one?

Have you ever had a déja vu experience?

Priceless :D . I don't think I've posted in this thread before but I've got to say I'm looking forward to this mod. And I remember that tune from IWD 2, beatuiful music it is  . A tiny little grammar suggestion though (Hope you don't mind): Response 2 should be changed to (Shrug and don't comment) or preferably to (Shrug but don't comment), since it should be in imperative form rather than infinitive as it is now. Feh...I need some dialouge to proofread so I can vent my nitpickiness. Ah well, I'll still be checking on this project, keep up the good work.

Mourn NPC / I believe I have some explaining to do...

I just had a look at my PM, and it seems I have some explaining to do.

I was positive I had sent my latest proofreads to you, but I don't have that message in my sent messages. :o  I'll send them over right away, but don't you dare do anything with them until you're all well again, you hear me?

Looks like I'm out late on a big event again.

Arconian, even if that guy winns his lawsuit, which is highly unlikely unless you get an extremely incompetent judge, jury, or defence atourney, then you should still be able to counter-sue him for the injuries, both physical and emotonial, he's caused you, jackasses like that should loose their licenses and be locked into tiny cages somewhere where they can't trouble proper human beings! And that someone like that has the nerve, or even the possibility, to actually start demanding money for his fucking windshield...         What's happening to this world, anyway?

I agree that you should take a rest and recover, because concussions should never be underestimated; I've only had a minor one when I fell down from a tree once and could barely drag myself from one place to the next for the reminder of the day, and that was nowhere close to what you've been through.  So take care, and I really hope that guy gets trashed in court. Or, failing that, in a dark alley.

You've got to admit, you were asking for it. ;-)

But please keep the forums spam-free people. (Or the admins will get you   )

I know I was asking for it. In fact I asked her to say it.

It figures...
