One more thing that I would like to see is some crossmod content between ZELINK and BG1 NPCs if possible. I think some banters involving NPC's from those two mods wouldn't be bad idea.

Well, these are my subjective, personal wishes which I understand are not everybody's cup of tea and maybe hard or impossible to implement. More romances for starters, I wish there is possibility to continue or start romances with female NPC's ( continuation of Branwen's and Dynaheir's romances from BG1 NPC project, Safana's from SoD, Skie's from Lava's mod and so on ). And I would prefer if possible some multiromance cheat the way Anthology tweaks or Imoen romance offer, for example.   I hope that maybe eventual agreement can be reached between various authors for various crossmod content of this kind.
Second thing is ZELINK content, great mod overall but I just couldn't stand the way Link shamelessly flirt or try to seduce every female member of the party while Zelda keep talking how great he is and asking love advice every five minutes.  ;D  I would like to turn the tables on the guy and little humble him, as there can be only one alpha in my party, and that is Bhaalspawn.
Yeah, it seems like lot of requests easy to write but hard to implement but it never hurt to ask.  ;)

But regarding Skie, this could only be a new romance, not related to the Lava's mod (because his version of Skie is different in character from the one in this mod, and he did not give permission for cross-mod content)

In the case of Safana, we had the idea of ​​making a romance with her, but here she has an active romance with the Coran and many dialogues are connected with this. Therefore, we abandoned this idea and added only friendly dialogues with it.
Yeah, I'm well aware of problems with crossmoding and artistic visions of various authors. But I can at least thank you for open mind and good will. Too bad for Safana, this is one minx my CHARNAME would like to know better, but hey, at least I can hope that eventually some romance content will be added for rest of the girls. Especially for Zelda. Try to imagine Link's face. Well Link " eeexxcuussee me " !  ;D

Thanks Smiling Imp for this fun mod too! I also decided to adapt it for EE-versions of the game.

"Zelink" (Zelda & Link) mod updated!
Version 1.0 includes the following changes:

  • Added EE-EET compatibility (now the mod is compatible with all versions of the game)
  • Texts have been moved to tra files
  • Organized folder structure
  • Updated portraits of Link and Zelda to a variant with improved quality

I'm delighted to see that you started to update and improve this mod Austin. Although there is a long road ahead, this mod albeit fun and original is full of bugs, some of them gamebreaking. I run into one such example, someone in the Promenade ( don't remember who exactly, it was long time ago, sorry ) gave a quest to deal with some guy who had avatar of the shadow thief in some inn in Athkatla. When fight inevitably broke out game spawned Arkanis Gath to deal with the party! I run from there faster than Speedy Gonzales.  ;D

Dark Side of the Sword Coast / Problems with the Dark One quest

Not sure if this is supposed to happen but I managed to kill The Dark One in the first try ( LICH.cre I suppose ), only meat chunk remained. But after that I couldn't proceed with the quest. PHANT2 didn't say anything nor I could enter in the house. Dark one was nowhere to be found on the map. Manually inserting GLOBAL "LichResurected" enabled me to talk with the phantom and I could enter the house. But after returning with life essence jar Lich again failed to respawn. Only when I created LICH2.cre with console I was able to finish this quest. Oh, and all six phantoms still remained on the map ( didn't left the area to well deserved afterlife).
P.S. I am playing old vanilla BG:TotSC.

Oh, sorry for Xan mistake and thank you for your invaluable work ( and I really hope that bug with Firebead Elvenhair and his infinite spawning of demon in Waukeen promenade is fixed, that was final nail in the coffin which made me to quit my ZELINK-BG1NPC's for SoA game long ago)! I have been meaning to ask you, although this is perhaps neither time or place for it, is there some english forum where I can track progress with " Paladins of Farerun "mod? I'm tempted to throw it in my planned megamod mix together with TDD,SoS CtB and Smiling Imp's mods but I'm unsure of it's current state and compatibility.

Thank you very much for clarification Austin. It is as I thought so. I am currently playing old BG:TotSC and I will import my character into a new game which basis will be
ZELINK and BG1NPC so no big deal about BGT untested compatibility. I will think over whether or not I will include DD beside Shadows over Soubar and Check the bodies mods. Mod which successfully merged Kivan from DD was probably Kivan and Deheriana companions but I'm not entirely sure. Thank you one more time for your help.

Hello Austin, great work on updating this interesting mod ( and several others, beside ) and my sincere thanks for your efforts. I have one humble request regarding this mod, which I played before together with another fun mod from the same author, Zelda and Link mod ( by the way, it would be wonderful if you would maybe some day fix and complete it). The Darkest day mod also add several BG1 NPC's ( Kagain, Kivan, Yeslick and maybe others, I forgot ) so it would be great if you could make compatibility checks for them too so I could play it with this gem of the mod.
Thank you very much for your feedback! I hope Smiling Imp won't mind these fixes either and will update the mod officially when it appears on the forum.

OK, I updated the checks for NPCs from the "The Darkest Day" mod (Yeslik, Kivan, Shar-Teel, Xzar, Montaron) and added a check for Kagain (he has a parallel version in "The Darkest Day" mod, but it was not taken into account during installation). They should now be compatible and duplicates of the same NPC will not be installed. The main condition is that "BG1NPCBG2" mod should be installed AFTER other mods.

You are welcome and thank you for quick updating. Just 2 more questions, these updates are compatible with old classic SOA:ToB right? And can you elaborate a little how this works, just for me to be on safe side, please? As I understood it BG1NPC will skip installing those NPC present from other mods. Although I hope for the variant that will merge those NPC's, so for example I can finish Kivan's quest from Darkest day in Imnesvale and still enjoy Kivan from BG1NPC ( same goes for Kagain and others)? I recall vaguely that some mod did similar things but I can't remember which one excatly.

Dark Side of the Sword Coast / Spell icons completely messed up

It took me awhile to find which mod does that. DSotSC for some reason change spell icons, for example Protection from magical weapons has Monster summoning icon and so on. Nothing game breaking but it is killing my eyes...

Glad to hear that. It is nothing urgent thanks to Shadow keeper. Speaking of which, it revealed this:
Bardo, level 6 thief has 3 pipes in short bow and one in two handed weapon style.
Concho, level 7 paladin only has 1 pipe in axe and bastard sword and two in two handed weapon style.  :shock:
His 10th level variant has same proficiencies ( or deficiencies  ;) but is missing dragon racial enemy.
Cu'Choinneach, level 6/6 ranger cleric is missing his class two points of two weapon style.
Jet'laya at level 6 has mace, flail and single weapon style ( unnecessary ) points while at level 7 has first  two previous and sling proficiency.
Keiria at all versions has same proficiencies, crossbow, staff ( strange considering that she is Blade kit now ) and two handed style.
Skeezer at level 4/5 only have 2 and at level 7/8 3 pipes.
Thorfin is missing pipes available to his level, and since he is barbarian they are very peculiar.

Well, Bub Snikt is the first curious example. I will list others as I pick them up eventually. Lets see, if you pick him up initially at the second level he only has 3 proficiency points.  His 6th level version has correct number, 6 points with 3 in bastard sword, two in longbow and 1 in TWO HANDED WEAPON STYLE !!!  :o >:( ;D
It is not complete waste in my game as I can use bastard sword with two hands if I wish but still...
