This version of DSotSC is for BG:EE v2.0+ and is SOD friendly.

I've been through and tested the main quests and everything works as expected but I'm sure there will be the odd bug here and there.

I'll let this run as a beta for a while as I'm still testing it. If anyone finds any bugs please post them in this thread.

The german version will need revision as journal entries have been redone.

I'm going to pick this up and get a new version together. Sort out some bugs and the mapping issues. I think it will take a while.

I'm putting together a new version incorporating a French translation and sorting out some text corrections, bugs etc between different versions of the game.

Stone of Askavar / Siege of Dragonspear and DSotSC Compatibility
« on: July 17, 2016, 02:56:28 PM »
Currently the Stone of Askavar is not compatible with any install of BGEE beyond v1.3. Only BGEE v1.3 is supported.

I have not carried out any testing with the new expansion. So if you have a successful install of the Mod then you are half way there.

If you intend to play this mod with DSotSC please install that Mod first to prevent some Stone of Askavar files being overidden.

There will be a compatible version sometime in the future.  :)

Also if you have problems getting around some of the quests in The Stone of Askavar there is a walkthrough in this forum to help you.

DSotSC TuTu / Darkside of the Sword Coast V1.06 released
« on: January 26, 2016, 06:39:13 AM »
After 10 years in the wilderness we finally have an updated version for BG1 that works with TUTU as well. Finally this long standing Mod can leave the progress board. Hurray!!! :)

I've done some testing on it and I've played through the whole Mod a couple of times with some of the NPC's on both versions without any issues. The TUTU version has support for the Worldmap mod.

Due to changes support for other languages will need to be reviewed.

Please be aware this MOD will not run with BG:EE or BGT. Click here to download the BGEE version

This blog written by Max gives a unique insight into the making of the Dragonlance TC. It's a three part article with part three focusing on the TC. Although from 2013 it is worth a read especially if you have an interest in starting modding.

Stone of Askavar / The Stone of Askavar: Translators needed for V1.9

As there have been a lot of changes in version 1.9 any translators willing to do some translation work would be great.

Dark Side of the Sword Coast / Area conflicts
« on: July 03, 2015, 05:26:43 PM »
I was looking at the area problem you've having. The Forgotten Forest areas have travel regions all along the outside of each area. Originally these were designed to keep you within the Forgotten Forest so the only way out was the way you came in. Once you appraoch an edge then you're supposed to be moved to the next forest area as long as certain conditions are true. The travel regions are causing a conflict with the map code. If you want more freedom of movement say from one of the areas to an another area outside of the Forest you will have to remove the travel regions. You can see these in DLCTP. The search maps also will need to be correct.

I think originally these areas were always meant to be shown in an inactive state on the world map with only one way in and out. Hence the name The Forgotten Forest.

The Drizzt Saga uses one block of code to do all the heavy lifting for area work having the area details and travel data seperate from the code making it a lot easier to deal with. I have used the same technique with the upcoming release of The Stone of Askavar. You may want to look at that as a reference.

I'm having a look at this mod again with a view to making it compatible with BGEE. I intend to rewrite the Rebecca/Lizzy encounter and possibly add new ones but having not modded for a while It'll take some time to get back up to speed.

Stone of Askavar / The Stone of Askavar: Big World Project install
« on: September 21, 2012, 08:38:20 AM »
For those of you who are following the instructions from the PDF or other resources regarding MOD installing. There is a point in the instructions which refers to copying over the worldmap.wmp from the install folder for the install to work correctly. This is no longer the case for The Stone of Askavar v1.8. You can install without having to do this.

I've tested the following install without any installation errors in this order.

Big World FixPack v11
BG2FixPack v9
worldmap v9.0.1
