Noobers Dwarven Hammer / What kind of dragon are u?
« on: February 25, 2006, 04:44:50 AM »
Crystal Dragon

In the war between good and evil, Crystal Dragons take the side of the noble and good.
When it comes to the powers of Chaos vs. those of Law and Order, your inner dragon tends to do things by the book.
As far as magical tendancies, Magical spells come as natural to the Crystal Dragon as breathe from it's body.
During combat situations, a true Crystal Dragon prefers to defeat opponents by the use of spells and other tactics.

Dragon Description:
Fun-loving and good natured, crystal dragons tend to be responsible rulers. They establish domains in the cold, open northern reaches, building castles out of snow and ice. They leave these castles open to the sky, for they love to watch the stars on clear, cold nights.

Hatchlings have glossy white scales that become more and more translucent with age. By the time they reach adulthood, these scales become luminescent in moonlight. In the full light of the day they glow with a dazzling, almost unbearable brilliance.

Like other benevolent dragons, the crystal dragons prefer to talk rather than fight. Even without special abilities, they can be charming and engaging to an extreme. Gems and metal ores are their foods of choice.A crystal dragon's breath weapon is a cone of glowing shards. The shards slice and cut those caught in the cone.

This Dragons favorite elements are: Quartz, Ice, and Good Natures

The results were different every time I took this test in the past few years.
This one suits me though..

I really liked some of the names they called me though. They were supposed to be offensive, but I still treasure 'tovenaar' (wizard) and 'zwarte kat' (black cat)  :D

I really wonder why anyone would think that nicks like "wizard" and "black cat" would be offensive.  :?

..yes.. they were the stupid people, remember?  :P But I didn't get it either, which is why I remember them at all

Hmm.. dunno. The people I had to deal with in highschool were all pretty intelligent, with a good deal of commonsense. Yay for not throwing all teenagers in just one kind of highschool! (normal for a lot of us Europeans, but I believe that people from US/Australia/etc. are less accustomed to this?) Anyway, this way I never had to deal with all the stupid people, except for the occasional encounter on the street.

I really liked some of the names they called me though. They were supposed to be offensive, but I still treasure 'tovenaar' (wizard) and 'zwarte kat' (black cat)  :D

<votes for the hot chocolate and cookies>
Take a day off, it can work wonders. It always does for me :D
And try to catch a glimpse of the blue sky. It peeked through the clouds for a small hour or so today, and it made all happy and energetic. I never realised how much I missed it. The weather lately has been kinda crap, but try to go out for a nice long walk or some cycling. And if the weather doesn't allow that, stay home with nice books, music and tea, invite some friends, prepare fun food and try to leave the computer alone.

Well, that's my recipe for a good mood that lasts at least a month or so  :-D

Indeed, you are 75% erudite, 58% sensual, 58% martial, and 37% saturnine.
Another virgin Goddess (Diana or Artemis being the other), Minerva was, just like her Greek counterpart Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom and Freedom as well as an all powerful Goddess of War, which made her a most formidable opponent indeed.
Among the many disciplines that fell under her control were: writing, the sciences, architecture, embroidery, and just about anything else dealing with artistic skills, wise counsel, and of course battle and warfare.

Like Athena, owls were considered sacred to Minerva, representing wisdom. She was a very wise warrior, respected by the Roman legions.

She was also, no kidding, the Goddess of Women's Rights and patroness of career women.

Cool. I like owls.

Same here. Including the fondness of owls  :D. Slightly different scores, of course.
Not really a surprise either.

It's not Tsuy(ellow)atha? Hmm, my world shatters, reforms and leaves me bewildered    It's a -dj- then, I suppose?

EDIT: sorry for the terrible offtopic-ness  :-)

Most of the time I start with 'u'(formal) only to relentlessly strike back with 'je'(informal) when the one I'm speaking with adresses me with 'je' as well :D I'm quite prepared to keep a conversation formal, but it has to be so for both sides. I'm arrogant like that, I suppose  :D

Mod Making Discussion / Saemon Havarian
« on: February 10, 2006, 02:05:14 AM »
Funny, I never disliked Saemon that much, not even after he betrayed <CHARNAME>. But I wouldn't take him with me, I usually play a good character and he wouldn't really fit in, I think :P
The only character that *really* annoys me is Nalia. And Chloe. Man, I really, really dislike Chloe. I did a full re-install just to make sure I never would run into her lines again. No offense, but her personality just bugs me  :-).

Anyway. Saemon=Cool, Saemon Mod=not-so-cool.

Hehe, yeah, that's true. I think I would run into some serious problems if (when) I decide to study in, for example, the US for a year or so. Not because I can't sweet-talk my way out of things (which is hardly ever needed. That's why it always works when it *is* necessairy :-) ), but because I'm used to adressing the teachers in an informal way. At least you(informal) and you(formal) are the same in English (in Dutch it's 'je' and 'U') :)

23. In high school, you wear your backpack on one shoulder; in college, on both.

22. In college, the professors can tell you the answer without looking at the teacher's guide.

16. In high school, if you screw up you can usually sweet-talk your way out of it. In college, you're lucky to ever talk with the professor.

I almost always wear my backpack on one shoulder, teachers don't know half as much as you think they know, and I still manage to sweet-talk myself out of most things  :D And because there aren't that many people studying linguistics, most teachers actually know me and talk to me  :)

Saerileth Romance / Reviews of the Saerileth Mod
« on: February 07, 2006, 05:47:37 AM »
Wow. This little piece of code is just blowing me away. Perfect voice acting, beautiful portrait and a great character. I never really liked romances in the original game, so I wasn't planning on romancing Saerileth either. My current character is a rather mean (though good) bountyhunter. Everytime she speaks to him, I hover above the not-so-nice answer for about 40 seconds, only to give in and say something nice after all. I'm so weak  :D

Seriously, good job  :)
