You have?  You good sir, are a braver man then I.  I have played thro Fade a good 3 or 4 times now, and may start again.

Maybe not braver, just resisting the temptation.

Also, as per the creature that eats modders...where does it live?  We must slay it!  *Beings looking for sword, but goes to sleep instead*

Glad to see Miss E is back. I was afraid you had been devoured by the mysterious creature that eats modders, never to be seen again.

Also I'm happy to hear that Fade ToB is making progress. I've somehow resisted the urge to play the mod until that is complete.

Rest assured, waiting is harder when you know how good she really is.

Then I shall continue to wait.

Besides, constantly asking the modders when the mods will be released has a tendency of making them happy.

Ok then. Is she done yet? (Nag, whine, begs, pleads, etc.)

I think I'll wait for the ToB stuff to be finished.  I was mostly just wanting to make sure there was something I didn't know, and I was waiting for nothing heh

I'm in the same boat. Waiting is tough but I think it'll be worth it to have the continuity.

This is the first time I've actually said anything about Fade, mainly because I'm waiting for the ToB portion to be finished before I play. (Yeah, it's been painfully hard resisting the beta). Just wanted to give kudos to the folks workin' on her.

I know I'm a bit late, but good luck on yer exams,

(BTW, like everyone else here, I think Miss E is an amazing artist.)

I'm a week late on this one, but I just wanted to get in my happy b-day wishes to CoM's most prolific poster.

I am a defender of DOS and DOS based games!

Nothing will top OS/2. Never!

Watch the vid to know why Macintosh's sucks.

I use Mac OS X, Linux and Windows. I use my Mac for every day tasks because it has the most elegant desktop operating system. I use Linux for experimenting and for the "geek factor". I use Windows because it's the primary gaming platform for computers. In about a year I'll get an Intel-based Mac and triple-boot all three operating systems on it (OS X, Vista, Ubuntu).

I also have two PDAs, one running Palm OS and the other running Windows Mobile.

Operating systems are just tools and getting emotionally attached to them is silly. I don't see anyone vigourously defending DOS or CP/M these days because they have been made obsolete.

I've got a motherboard with an AMD Athlon 1600+ (about 1.4 GHz) on a motherboard that uses PC133 SD RAM.  I've also a motherboard that is not booting but the processor (an AMD Athlon 64) works fine.

Is it possible to switch the processors?  The motherboard containing the 1600+ is from 2002.  I am planning on upgrading the RAM to maybe over a gig, even though its the older style RAM, it still runs programs very nicely.

The basic Athlon uses a 462-pin Socket while the Athlon 64 uses either Socket 754 or 939. Firstly, they won't physically fit in the same motherboard. Second, the basic Athlon uses standard SDRAM memory while the 64 uses DDR-SDRAM. Third, the 64 has an onboard memory controller while the basic Athlon uses the memory controller on the chipset, so the chipsets are designed differently.

Long story short: it ain't gonna work.

Noobers Dwarven Hammer / Re: What mythological goddess are you?[quizzie]

Indeed, you are 45% erudite, 29% sensual, 50% martial, and 91% saturnine.

Persephone, the wife of Hades, was the Greek Goddess of Death and the Underworld as well as the Goddess of Spring and Summer. This is a rare mix of things to be the Goddess of, so you might want to hear her story.

While gathering flowers in a field one day, the beautiful daughter of Zeus and Demeter was abducted to the Underworld by Hades, who arose in his chariot from a fissure in the ground. Her mother Demeter, Goddess of the Harvest, was heartbroken, and while she wandered the length and breadth of the earth in search of her daughter, the crops withered and it became perpetual winter.

At length Hades was persuaded to surrender Persephone for one half of every year. This became the spring and summer seasons when flowers bloom and the earth bears fruit once more. The other half of the year that Persephone spent in the Underworld as Hades' queen coincides with the barren season.

Persephone owns the others.

Mod Room / Re: Mods you are looking forward to
« on: January 08, 2006, 08:34:09 PM »
I don't feel comfortable naming specific mods that I'm looking forward to. Firstly, I don't want to insult any particular modder because I have no interest in the mod. Second, there are some mods I haven't yet decided whether I plan on playing or not so I don't want to rush to judgment before they are complete.

I don't see any harm in mentioning that I prefer to play mods that involve romance, in whatever form. Also, just because I don't actively participate in any particular forum doesn't mean I'm not interested in the mod. I simply have nothing to add to the discussion that I feel would be helpful.

Mis E reminded me that I forgot Night of the Living Dead and Nosferatu (1922). I also forgot to mention Pumpkinhead; Lance Henriksen is a great character actor in general.

You forgot to mention Kari ;) :p

Notice that I said *most* of my avatars are horror related. I'm not going to include a sweetheart like Kari in a list full of scary people.
